The Ben Hur was a nickname for the American 1 ton 2 wheel cargo trailer. It was designated as the G-518 Trailer of which over 259,000 were made.
It was designed for towing by vehicles of 3/4 ton or heavier.
It came in several variants including water trailers (G-527 Trailer). It was produced between 1941 and 1945. Other versions included generator trailers, radar, spares and ammo.
Note: Trailer comes with the front hitch wheel either up for towing or down for parking.
