The Camel was introduced in June 1917 and served with the Ryal Flkying Corps/Air Force until January 1920. It was adapted for service on board aircraft carriers when it was designated as the Camel F.1

It had a maximin speed of 113mph and was armed with two Vickers .303 machine guns. Some 5,490 were built.

Model measures approx 40mm long with a wingspan of approx 60mm
