The Sd.Kfz 250 was designed as a smaller half-track to the standard. It was used for HQ, Radio Forward Observer, Reconnaissance and Scout roles where a larger vehicle was not required.
The vehicle was used between 1941 and 1945 by the German and Romanian Armies.
The 250/5 version was the command variant with additional radio equipment.
