The T-28 was a Russian multi-turreted medium infantry support tank. It was produced between 1932 and 1941 and 503 were built. It weighed 28 tonnes and had a 76.2mm KT-28 howitzer with 70 rounds. Four or five 7.62mm DT machine guns were also fitted two of which were in their own forward facing turrets.
The T-28 was first deployed in the 1930 Soviet invasion of Poland and also in the Winter War against Finland. It had some advanced features for the time including radios in all tanks, anti-aircraft machine gun mounts.
It was largely outdated by the time WWII started.
