The D variant introduced the iconic bubble or tear drop canopy to improve all around vision for the pilot.
It could carry 1,000lb of ordnance which was often made up of two 500lb bombs.
The D was the most widely produced version of the Mustang. In RAF service it was known as the Mustang Mk.VI
Model measures approx 67mm long with a wingspan of approx 78mm.
