Japanese Command Tank
£10.00
Qty:
Model comes in two parts; hull and turret.

The Shi-Ki was developed from the Type 97 Chi-Ha tank; it used the same chassis and hull but the turret was redesigned. The turret armament was removed and replaced with a powerful radio which utilised a large horseshoe aerial around the turret.

The bow machine gun of the Chi-Ha was replaced in the Shi-Ki with a type 98 37mm gun. A type 97 machine gun was mounted in the rear of the turret for the commander's use.

It had a crew of three, commander, driver and gunner and weighed around 15 tons.
