Sd.Kfz 250 Ausf A/1

The Sd.Kfz 250 was designed  as a smaller half-track to the standard. It was used for HQ, Radio Forward Observer, Reconnaissace and Scout roles where a larger vehicle was not required.

The vehicle was used between 1941 and 1945 by the German and Romanian Armies. The 250/3 version is perhaps famous as Rommel's personal vehicle in North Africa.

the 250/1 depicted here is the standard troop carrier version and was equipped with one or two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns.
