This is a historical reproduction of the Cafe Desire Ingouf which was situated in Carentan in France. The cafe appeared in the Band of Brothers film series. The cafe/restaurant can be seen in photographs of Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry regiment as they advanced through the town after D-Day.
The model is formed of two floors. The roof is removable but there is no floor to the second story however, one could easily be formed with card if it was desirable.
The ground floor has a chimney stack and stairs. Roofs are removable on the main building, rear extension and outhouse.
The 1/56 scale model measures approximately 305mm long, 172mm wide and 205mm tall.
